Policies & Procedures
Our coaching/client relationship is confidential. As a professional coach, and member of the ICF (International Coaching Federation) I apply the Standards of Ethics Conduct to my professional coaching practice. I acknowledge and agree to honor my ethical obligations to my coaching clients and colleagues and to the public at large. I pledge to comply with the ICF Code of Ethics, to treat people with dignity as independent and equal human beings, and to model these standards with those whom I coach. If I breach this Pledge of Ethics or any part of the ICF Code of Ethics, I agree that the ICF in its sole discretion may hold me accountable for so doing. I further agree that my accountability to the ICF for any breach may include loss of my ICF membership and/or my ICF credentials.
Nature of our relationship
The coaching relationship is in no way to be construed as psychological counseling or any type of therapy. In the event that a client feels the need for professional counseling or therapy, it's the responsibility of the client to seek a licensed professional. Coaching results are not guaranteed. A client enters into coaching with the understanding that he or she is responsible for creating his or her own results. If I ever say or do something that upsets you or doesn’t feel right, please let me know.
The fee is due before each session. Clients may pay by check or credit card through PayPal. Checks are to be made payable to Bruce Hall Coaching and mailed to 136 East 8th Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362. If you are paying through PayPal, I will email you an invoice with a link to my PayPal account.
The coach will call the client at the prearranged number on the day and time scheduled. The coach will be responsible for all telephone-related charges. The allotted time will begin when the call is placed. Should the coach be placed on hold, this time will be counted as part of the allotted time.
A minimum of 24-hours' advance notice is requested for cancellations or schedule changes, with exceptions for emergencies. Makeup sessions will be scheduled for emergency and advance notice cancellations. If it occurs that I must reschedule, I will also give as much advance notice as possible. Should any holidays, planned vacations, or emergencies result in missed sessions they, will be rescheduled.
Should client or coach determine at any time that the direction of the coaching relationship has insufficiently progressed, either party may cancel; however, this must be done in writing, by email or postal mail.
My practice is built primarily upon referrals. If you feel that our coaching/client relationship has added value to your life and might be equally beneficial to a family member, friend, or colleague, feel free to have that person contact me. For each person you recommend who remains a client for at least three sessions, you will receive one free coaching session!
