Marketing Inspires a Greener Product

Marketing & Sales — By Mark Wanczak on July 8, 2009 at 9:03 am

Usually green marketing sticks to a consistent process. An engineer, designer or environmentalist thinks up with a better, more sustainable version of an existing product or a new product that fills a void left by traditional, wasteful products. Then that person comes to marketers and ask how we can help them spread the word about this new, sustainable option.

It’s not too often that the reverse happens, that a marketer thinks up a way to sell more advertising, to more people and in a way that just so happens to improve an existing product. Marketing just became little less evil and put a positive dent in all that greenwashing.
