Build2Sustain to Present at Sustainable Brands 2009

In addition to writing for konstructr.com I am also the leader of a new venture dedicated developing and promoting best practices in commerical renovation. My company Build2Sustain was asked to be a part of the New Ventures Exchange at this year’s Sustainable Brands 2009 Conference in Monterey, California. 

What I’ll be talking about:

50% of the energy consumption and over 50% of the carbon emissions in the world come not from the cars we drive but from the buildings we live, work, and grow in. There are over 5 million commerical buildings in America that need to be renovated to become more sustainable. Yet there are no set of best practices in the market ready to be employed to make that happen. Building owners and facilites managers are loathe to invest in solutions without proven ROI. That’s where Build2Sustain comes in.
